This three bedroom apartment is located in the central Ciutat Vella district of Barcelona with a unique location across from the recently rebuilt Mercat de Santa Caterina.
This market is not only a recent addition to the body of architectural landmarks in the city, but a place to sample top quality local produce.The holiday rental is on the corner of a building with a protected façade as an important part of architectural history.
With high ceilings and a corner location the flat has a spacious, luminous feel which is furthermore helped by the large windows in all the rooms. Two of the bedrooms also have balconies allowing guests take in the atmosphere of the charming area around the market which offers everything the guests need for their stay to be comfortable; bakeries, supermarkets, convenience store, pharmacy, etc. The accommodation has been completely renewed and equipped with all new furniture in 2009 so that it is up to the standards of the modern traveller. This is a perfect setting for group or larger families to enjoy shared meals and gathering to relax and plan further Barcelona exploits.
The location is just a short walk from the fashionable El Born area including one of the most exciting tourist attractions in the city: the Museu Picasso and the Palau de la Música Catalana, a leading concert hall - World Heritage Site by UNESCO -. Walking to the Barri Gotic is a quick affair and the famous street of Las Ramblas is just 10 min. away on foot. Most of the city's main attractions (including the Gaudí works of Palau Guell, Casa Batlló, Casa Milà and the Sagrada Familia) and relaxing beaches are within walking distance or a short subway ride away.
Parking
There are several parking options nearby. There are also other most economical alternatives.
1. There is a parking not far from the apartment (+/- 1 Km) which has a price of +/- 57 euros for 3 nights, +/- 85 euros for 5 nights, +/- 102 euros for 7 nights, +/- 114 euros for 10 nights, +/- 137 euros for 15 nights, etc. (you have to ask for the Day Card). If you are going to use the car during your stay it's possible without paying again. We think it's a good price because it's not easy to park in the street in Barcelona city center and parkings have an average price +/- 25-40 euros per day.
2. There is another parking not far from the apartment (+/- 1 Km) where you can park the car for only 75 euros for max. 8 days. if you are going to use the car during your stay then you'll have to pay again. This is a good alternative if you are not going to use your car during your stay. We advise you to use the public transport.

*Half-day cooking class: if you don’t have much time, join our half-day cooking class (3.5 hours aprox.). You’ll learn all you need to prepare a complete real Spanish meal. Available for individuals and groups. Menu will vary according to season. All menus can be adapted to vegetarians upon request. Price per person: 60 €.
*Visit to the famous Boqueria market: take the visit to the famous Boqueria market previous to the cooking class and learn all the clues to get the best and freshest ingredients for your Spanish cooking. “Probably the best market in the world”. Price per person: 12 €.
