Sant Gervasi: High and Mighty
This is where Barcelona reaches "old heights". When the city´s affluent society (late 19th century) decided to move out of the crowded city-centre, they headed for the hills to build their villas above the hectic, industrialised Barcelona.

Sant Gervasi is still where to engage in "the high-life", and several mansions that scale the steep climb towards Tibidabo hide discotecas that often are filled to the brim. This is the playground of the Barcelona glitzerati, so if you´ve splurged on designer-wear then the Zona Alta (the "High-Zone"- what these neighbourhoods are commonly referred to as) is the place to show-off.
